The wine selection, also locally sourced, perfectly complemented the meal, showcasing the richness of the region’s vineyards. Besides the amazing food what sets The View apart is, as the name suggests, the breathtaking vistas of the Tuscan countryside. As we dined on the terrace, the rolling hills, bathed in the golden light of the setting sun, created a scene straight out of a painting. The tranquility of the surroundings, combined with the exquisite food and Francesca’s heartfelt hospitality, made for a truly magical experience. “ Francesca at The View restaurant provided us with our most heartfelt welcome to Tuscany. We wandered by lost our first day in the area. Although closed, she came out and greeted us, sharing her joy of art, culture, land and food. We went back for a very early dinner on a Sunday, seated in the most breathtaking view you can imagine and spent 4 hours over 4 courses, getting dark enough to turn on her lights as well as the joy of sitting under the stars. A good 2 hours we were the only ones there and she even took time to sit and visit. This is not the kind of experience you even dare hope for as a tourist from Canada. We did not know the language, yet were treated as welcomed friends. Francesca is a lovely creative soul, the food was extraordinary! And the restaurant could not possibly be more aptly named. We are humbled and grateful to have stumbled upon this unexpected gem! ”
